Why competition closing dates sometimes change

Extensions, corrections and campaign updates can alter a promotion after it first appears.

A competition closing date can change for legitimate reasons, which is why a saved screenshot or third-party listing should not be treated as permanently authoritative. Promoters sometimes extend campaigns, correct errors or amend operational details.

Extensions are possible
A promoter may decide to keep a promotion open longer. Good practice is to publish an updated closing date and explain the amendment in the terms or campaign page.

Different dates can refer to different stages
Entry close, judging, winner notification and prize fulfilment are separate events. A page can contain several dates without being contradictory.

Time zones and exact times matter
A promotion may close at noon rather than midnight, or use a time zone different from the entrant's location. Check the wording rather than assuming the date lasts until the end of the day.

Direct sources win
Fearless aims to keep structured closing dates current, but the promoter's live terms remain the final authority. This is especially important for last-minute entries.

Plan ahead
If a competition matters to you, entering before the final hours reduces the risk of technical issues, misunderstood times or a route that needs additional processing.
