Competition entering can create a busy inbox, especially when promotions include newsletters, confirmation emails or account registration. A simple email system makes it easier to spot useful messages without letting promotional mail take over your main inbox.

Consider a dedicated folder or address
Some entrants prefer a separate email address for competitions. Others use rules and folders inside their existing inbox. Either approach can work if you check it regularly and keep access secure.

Keep confirmations when they matter
A confirmation can be useful for purchase-linked promotions, code entries, creative submissions or any promotion where you may later need evidence. You do not need to keep every routine marketing message indefinitely.

Make winner messages easier to verify
A tidy inbox helps you compare a winner message with a promotion you actually entered. Check the sender independently, review the original competition and use official contact details if anything seems unusual.

Unsubscribe thoughtfully
If a mailing list is no longer useful, use the promoter's legitimate unsubscribe process. Be cautious with suspicious messages where clicking any link may be unwise; in those cases, verify the sender first.

Protect the account
Use a strong unique password and multi-factor authentication where available. Winning a prize is not worth weakening basic account security.
