How to spot an outdated competition listing

Closing dates, broken links and changed terms are clues that a promotion may no longer be current.

Competition information can change after it is first published. Promoters may extend a deadline, replace a campaign page or update the terms. A directory therefore needs ongoing checking rather than treating every discovered listing as permanently accurate.

Check the closing date
An obviously past closing date is the simplest warning. Remember that some promotions use exact times or separate entry and draw dates.

Open the official source
A missing page, redirect to a generic homepage or removed social post can indicate that the promotion has ended or moved. It can also be a temporary technical issue, so context matters.

Compare the terms
If the headline and terms show different dates or prizes, the official current terms should take priority. Look for notices explaining extensions or amendments.

Use verification information
Fearless records check information on listings where available. A recent check is more useful than an old one, but it still does not replace the promoter's live terms.

Report problems
If a Fearless listing appears outdated or incorrect, use the site's reporting/contact route. Corrections help keep the directory useful for everyone.
